Edan Ruthlein is counted among the most respected men of Vurtgoren. Renowned as one of the greatest warriors of his generation, he has also proven an able and measured leader, bridging rival interests and standing as a pillar of stability within the High Council.
Audra Ruthlein
Audra Ruthlein is the wife of Grand Duke Edan. Born into House Verdon, she is sister to Highlord Torin. She bore five children, though her household suffered great loss when her eldest son, Colwin Ruthlein, was found murdered in childhood during the Festival of Renewal. It is said that in the years that followed, she prevailed upon the Grand Duke to keep their remaining children from the War Academy, in departure from the long-held traditions of their house.
Jelric Ruthlein
Jelric Ruthlein is the eldest surviving son of the Grand Duke and heir to Urholm. Though he does not command the same renown as his father in matters of war, he is regarded as a capable and steady young man. There is little doubt that he will uphold the standing of his house and rule with due measure.
Eryn Ruthlein
Eryn Ruthlein is the eldest daughter of Edan. She has accompanied her father on several journeys to the Crossroads, and is described by those who have met her as well educated and striking in bearing. By virtue of her lineage, she is counted among the most sought-after matches of her generation.
Elbertine Ruthlein
Elbertine Ruthlein is the youngest daughter of Edan. She is described as sharp of mind and composed in manner, with a presence suited to courtly exchange. It is said that she has received some training in the arts of combat, and is of a notably independent disposition. While many would seek her hand, it is held that her favour must first be secured before any suit may be considered.
Devin Ruthlein
Devin Ruthlein is the youngest son of the Grand Duke. It is said that he does not share the imposing stature commonly associated with the men of his house. Some hold that he is more akin in manner to the lords of the great cities than to the warrior nobles of Ursathia.
