In Vurtgoren, not all who sit upon the High Council wield equal influence. Among its members, a select few hold greater authority than the rest. The following are the foremost figures of the Great Union of Vurtgoren, those who command two or more votes within the Council. These six together hold thirteen of the twenty votes that govern the Union.
Lovni Morisgan
Lovni Morisgan is the only man to command three votes within the High Council. Widely regarded as the most powerful figure in Vurtgoren, he is known for his pragmatic rule. As King of Silvegurd and head of House Morisgan, he stands unmatched in power, influence, and wealth.
Darise Taynard
Darise Taynard ascended to the throne of Bersenia in the absence of a male heir. Known as a fair ruler and a skilled diplomat, she has strengthened ties with the Kingdom of Silvegurd. Together with her sons, she holds undisputed authority over Bersenia.
Edan Ruthlein
Edan Ruthlein is counted among the most respected men of Vurtgoren. Renowned as one of the greatest warriors of his generation, he has also proven an able and measured leader, bridging rival interests and standing as a pillar of stability within the High Council.
Gedeon Unsworth
Gedeon Unsworth is the only member of the younger generation to hold two votes within the High Council. Raised to the rank of Grand Duke following his father’s early retirement, he remains a figure of few known qualities beyond his reputation as a fearless warrior.
Duran Eansfort
As Grand Duke of Fushya, Duran Eansfort commands the maritime trade of the Union. From tribute to commerce, all ships pass through Veskala, where the Traders Guild and the Great Fleet are based. Known as both a capable warrior and an honourable man, he is regarded as one of the stabilizing forces within the High Council.
Torin Verdon
Torin Verdon is the sole Gorendori Highlord to command two votes within the High Council. His rule over Greoca makes him the wealthiest and most influential man in Gorendor. From his seat in Vurtruphis, he is seen as a voice of reason, known for his pragmatism and skill in negotiation.
