The Remaining Members of the High Council
What follows are the remaining members of the High Council of Vurtgoren, each entrusted with a single vote. Though their voices carry less weight in number, they stand as equals in rank, and their presence remains essential to the balance of the Union.
Graydon of Grudham
Graydon of Grudham is known as a fair ruler, enjoying wide support among his subjects. Among the Gorendori Highlords, he is distinguished by his austere manner of rule, which allows him to lessen the burden of taxation. He governs Greylor, the only region of Gorendor where slavery has been abolished, and whose customs are more closely aligned with those of the wider Union.
Sirvurd of Torenskar
Sirvurd of Torenskar is the Senedor son of Nurces of Rudegan, and younger brother to Fontanur. He inherited the lordship of Gapren from his aunt, Sirceska of Torenskar, who herself had assumed the title after the extinction of its previous line. Through his grandfather, Drekar of Rudegan, his bloodline is tied to the ruling lines of Rudegan and Radena.
Fontdor of Rudegan
Fontdor of Rudegan is the Senedor son of Fontanur. His father was murdered in Oresia when he was ten, and his stepmother held the lordship in his stead until her death five years later. It is whispered that Fontdor may have hastened her end, fearing her intended remarriage to Lord Ogdon of Meraskar would endanger his claim. With the backing of Sirvurd of Torenskar, he was recognized as Highlord of Groedar at the age of sixteen.
Franceska of Radena
Franceska of Radena is the Senedor daughter of Fransen. Her father and grandfather were slain during a rebellion when she was ten, after which her uncle, Kasirces, ruled in her stead until her coming of age. Upon her accession, he relinquished power to her as the rightful heir. As Highlady, her first decree ordered the enslavement of the Urdekari south of the Neck, a decision that has caused unease beyond her borders.
Agoron Morisgan
Agoron Morisgan is the heir to the throne of Silvegurd. Upon reaching his twentieth year, he was granted the title of Prince of Freinia by his aunt, Princess Claribel, securing his place upon the High Council in accordance with tradition. Well educated and in close accord with his father, he is regarded as a steady successor and a continuation of King Lovni’s rule.
Kieran Taynard
Kieran Taynard is the heir to the throne of Bersenia. Upon reaching his twentieth year, he was granted the title of Prince of Eshye by his aunt, Princess Sidonia, securing his place upon the High Council in accordance with tradition. Though young, he is well regarded among the Bersenian nobility as a serious and disciplined heir, expected to follow in the path of his mother.
Kuno Taynard
Kuno Taynard is the younger brother of Prince Kieran and second in line to the throne. Upon reaching his twentieth year, he was elevated by his mother to the title of Prince of Estana, taking his seat upon the High Council in place of his father, Duke Gareth Taynard. Little is firmly known of him, though among the Bersenian nobility there are frequent whispers of a more indulgent and frivolous disposition.
